ABC
Plumbing and Rooter Co., Inc. Warms Dialysis
Patient’s Heart…and
Water
For
an entire month, dialysis patient Lynn
Guirguis of Phoenix and her eleven year
old son have not been able to take a hot
shower. Ms. Guirguis is on disability,
so she placed numerous calls to the
City of Phoenix for help. Those calls
have gone unanswered.
A
friend who works at the City Library and
who is also on disability told Ms. Guirguis
that ABC Plumbing and Rooter Co., Inc.
has been known to help those who are unable
to pay for plumbing repairs, so she called.
She explained how the bottom of her water
heater had rotted out, how the only warm
water she had bathed with was during her
eleven-day emergency hospital stay, and
how she now washes her family’s
clothing in cold water.
Rudolf
Kellner (Director) and Mike Roberts (Field
Manager) of ABC Plumbing met with Ms.
Guirguis at her home.

They
agreed that the lack of hot water was unsanitary and
a considerable health concern, especially
with her medical condition and the importance
of keeping her dialysis ports clean and
bacteria-free.
On
Tuesday July 10, 2007, ABC Plumbing
and Rooter Co., Inc. will replace
Ms. Guirguis’ water
heater at no cost to her. We are
also replacing her kitchen faucet and repairing a variety
of other plumbing issues.
