With Mother’s Day just around the corner, some of us are still looking for those unique gifts that make a statement and or maybe those gifts that are on a budget.

Here are a few ideas for gifts made from PVC pipe:

Bathroom storage. Always looking for a place to put your blowdryers and other styling appliances, keeping them safe and out of the way. Just grab a Y-shaped PVC pipe that’s big enough to hold a blow dryer (and you’ll know that it’s big enough to hold a curling iron or other items). Paint it up with some cool point to match your bathroom.

Beverage holder. Grab some PVC pipes that are large enough and long enough to hold wine bottles, beer bottles, soft drinks or any other drinks that you buy a few of each time you shop. Create a pyramid shape by stacking the pipes into a triangular shape, gluing as you go with an appropriate, safe adhesive that will withstand the weight of the items with no odor. Give it a good paint, stencil it with some fun designs and fill the storage areas with your favorite beverages.

Planters.  Create some pretty unique planters for the window sills or porches using PVC pipe in different sizes. You can cover the bottoms with some mesh or anything else that allows some small amount of drainage for the water.  Glue some together to make a larger growing planter with multiple areas for different items or have larger ones, decorated scattered around the porch or windows. Fill with soil and a few small rocks and add your favorite plants and herbs.

Organizers. Smaller PVC pipe cut into small pieces and glued together make great drawer organizers for small items such as safety pins, sewing items, nails, or any other household item that always seems to get lost in that drawer in our house that we all have that collects everything.
