Thinking about a new water heater but not sure if you should go gas water heater or electric water heater?
Gas water heaters use heat from burning a fuel such as natural gas while an electric water heaters heat the water through the use of electric resistance.
While gas water heaters are less energy efficient than electric ones, they are lest costly than electric because of the running cost of the electricity itself, which is higher. Gas heaters also have a much faster recovery rate which can make a difference to larger families.
However, if you currently have an electric water heater, switching over to gas could be costly if gas lines have to be installed.
Before changing out your water heater, contact your professional plumber to discuss the various options available for your home.
