Spring is just around the corner and will be here before we know it! Now is the time to get your plumbing ready for the Spring.
Here are a few tips to get you moving after the Winter season:
Yes! It’s time for some yardwork! This is the best time to make sure your storm drains and gutters are clear by getting out any debris that may be a potential clog opportunity. Take a look around your yard and make sure that all of the yard debris is picked up and taken away to remove any possibilities of it becoming a clog opportunity down the road. And, your yard looks fantastic as a result of this preventative care!
A perfect time to flush your water heater! Because the weather is warming up, it’s the perfect time to flush your water heater to keep it running at the peak of efficiency by removing all of the debris that may have built up.
Run those faucets! Run all of your faucets, outdoors and indoors, checking the water pressure. You will have to run the outdoor faucets for a few minutes if you haven’t run them for quite some time to allow for the pressure adjustment. If you notice, that after a few minutes, you have low pressure, you may have something else going on like a clog or a leak. Time to call in the pros!
Check all of your exposed pipes. You’ll want to look at any exposed pipes for cracks or discoloration indicating damage or leaks.
