It’s almost a brand new year and a time when many of us create resolutions to get us going in the right direction.
The new year also can also mean setting some goals and resolutions for making our homes a better place.
When it comes to your plumbing, we’ve got a few suggestions on some resolutions to get you off to the right start.
Water. Simple adjustments such as turning the water off when you brush your teeth can save you money as well as thousands of gallons of water a year. And, by installing a water filter, you can ensure that the water you use is even better and free of sand, dirt and unhealthy chemicals.
Change it up. Change up the style in your bathroom to give it a fresh new look for the new year. Simple updates by replacing faucets or installing easy cabinets can create a whole new impact.
Toilet care. It’s a great time to plan for a little care of your toilet. By fixing any parts that are worn out or replacing an old inefficient toilet can save you headaches and costly problems. Also, be sure to care for your toilet to prevent those problems resulting from flushing items that shouldn’t be flushed such as Q-Tips, tissues and yes, hair!
Water Heater. Now is a good time to flush that water heater which might even prolong the life of the heater. While you’re conducting that annual flush, take the time to do an all-around check of all the parts to make sure everything is functioning as it should.
Go Green. A great New Year’s resolution is to choose water-efficient faucets and shower heads. Install a drip-irrigation system outside to further save water.
Happy New Year to all! As always we’re here to help with any of your questions.
